Headed up by Jackie Morton, the Kemtek Admin Commercial Department (or Telesales) in JHB manages sales, orders and quotations for Kemtek’s B2B customers across our Auto ID and Labelling divisions, as well as being there for commercial export customers.

Let’s get to know them a little better. 

Jackie Morton – Auto ID / Brother Commercial Supervisor

Jackie Morton

Jackie has been with Kemtek for over 18 years, and currently oversees our Telesales team. She has worked in various roles during her Kemtek career, giving her a very solid grounding in all aspects of our customer service offering.

Originally a dispatch and receiving administrator, she moved on to an orders supervisor role before taking up her current position. Jackie – like all the people we’ll meet in this blog – describes herself as a ‘people person’ – in fact, as she says, it would be impossible to succeed in telesales as anything else.

Jackie describes her team as ‘one big happy family’, and her only regret is that (due to the pandemic) she no longer gets to spend as much time face-to-face with Kemtek customers. She is clearly passionate about helping her team to grow and thrive as individuals, and as a department – and her investment in them is clearly bearing fruit.

Outside of her work, Jackie is a devoted mother and grandmother, and was formerly a keen golfer. With the current travel restrictions making it more difficult to see her family, she finds solace and peace in her Bible studies.

Brother Division

Lucelle Jacobs
Cynthia Nxumalo

The two Internal Sales Administrators who handle Kemtek’s Brother account are Lucelle Jacobs and Cynthia Nxumalo. Their main role is to provide quotations on Brother labelling solutions, and to support the Kemtek sales reps – something they both do with dedication and finesse. It also includes receiving inbound customer sales, supplying product service information, processing sales orders, managing any complaints, and ensuring that all customer follow-ups happen timeously.

Lucelle is also a long-serving Kemtek team member, having been with the company since 2004. She has worked on the Brother brand for 14 of those years, and says that she genuinely loves working with customers. She is someone who thrives under pressure and values teamwork, so she is definitely in the right department! As a mother of five, with two grandchildren, Lucelle is kept equally busy outside work.

Cynthia joined Brother in 2008 and gets to use her excellent organisational and administrative skills every single day in her Telesales role. For a team that’s precisely in tune with each other, it should come as no surprise that she greatly enjoys singing, and is also known as a something of a genius in the kitchen.

In her spare time – and yes, you need to be as organised as Cynthia to create spare time in your life! – she also enjoys keeping fit, socialising with her family and friends, and attending church.

Auto ID and Brother Admin Telesales and Orders

Uzair Cassim
Vusi Skosana

This ‘team within a team’ comprises Uzair Cassim and Vusi Skosana. Uzair is a 7-year Kemtek veteran – further underscoring the deep experience that exists within the Telesales team. Along with Vusi, he’s responsible for invoicing for our Brother and Auto ID solutions, and assisting Kemtek sales reps across all divisions. When he’s not doing the heavy lifting of invoicing, Uzair enjoys weight-training and boxing training. Prior to the pandemic, he used to compete in the ring, thereby providing further evidence that the Telesales team may be relatively small, but it definitely punches above its weight. Uzair ensures that he always has a good grasp of what’s happening across all Kemtek divisions.

Vusi spent many years in the Kemtek warehouse before making the move to Telesales. Despite the non-stop pressure, he describes it as a peaceful and enjoyable place to work. Focused on capturing orders, Vusi is clearly able to cope with a fast-paced working environment and echoes Jackie’s comments about being able to trust all his colleague implicitly, and the sense of calm productivity that arises when everyone knows exactly what they should be doing, and how to get it 100% right, every time. Vusi describes himself as a family man, and enjoy socialising with his friends.

Commercial Export Department

Mbali Motloung

Mbali Motloung completes the Telesales team in her role as Internal Sales Rep, Telesales & Administrator. She’s a dedicated customer service agent, and greatly enjoys the fact that she gets to interact with Kemtek’s many customers on a daily basis. She has been generating new business for Kemtek since 2018, having successfully expanded her original role as an exports administrator into a more sales-focused portfolio. Mbali’s commitment to growth extends beyond her Telesales work; she is also a keen farmer and livestock investor, another aspect of her life where she gives her all.
