The HP Indigo 35K is a step-function digital press for folding cartons that allows printers to build high-growth profitable businesses by capturing a share of the growing market for short-run jobs. A single press that does the work of three, the Indigo 35K helps printers to adapt to changing market needs and expand their applications with the widest mix of media and inks in B2 format.
Features
By leveraging new print tools to increase print production by up to 40%, the Indigo 35K can produce dozens of jobs per day and up to 1 million B2 sheets per month. Real production agility is gained with drawers, a pallet feeder and a proof tray on a B2 format.
Print shops can meet very short turnaround times with a B2 format ideal for short runs, saving half the converting waste and cost compared to B1. Transitioning from one job is easy with proof-while-you-print capabilities. Setup is significantly reduced with fastest time-to-colour enabled by the Indigo Spot Master automated colour-matching process.
The Indigo 35K lets printers expand their offerings with off-the-shelf boards, from paperboard through metalized and synthetic media to high-end coloured substrates, as well as into digital rigid box applications with lightweight media from 150 microns.
The press adds value with high-accuracy spot varnish decorations with the TRESU iCoat II, optimized to work in-line with the Indigo 35K. Printers can also offer further added value by using Indigo packages with multi-layered brand protection solutions and unique designs by HP SmartStream Mosiac and HP SmartStream Collage.
With newly introduced automated tools and the HP Imaging System, printers can achieve up to 97% Pantone gamut on-press using CMYK, OVG and spot colour. Interchangeable offset quality with thin layers is available through HP Indigo Electrophotography (LEP) Technology.
The Indigo 35K produces smoother tints, more detailed small images and finer small/micro text with its HD Imaging System. Automated tools and the reporting system ensure that colour is easily reached and maintained so that every box is the same, wherever and whenever printed.
