The future of GCP has arrived
HP Indigo’s new range of GCP digital printers are already making waves and have the potential to transform the General Commercial Printing industry as they become commercially available throughout 2020.
The new presses share an emphasis on productivity, value and versatility, as HP Indigo seeks to make the benefits of digital printing more accessible, and to create an even more compelling business case for their adoption.
HP Indigo 7K
This SRA3+ digital press delivers value-added digital applications, all of which are available as upgrade options to operators of previous-generation HP Indigo 7000 series digital printing presses. Thanks to its ability to print on media up to 550 microns using a number of specialty inks. The properties of these inks will allow PSPs to grow their businesses by attracting new customers from niche sectors that they may not previously have been able to reach.
They include eye-catching ElectroInk Silver and Invisible Yellow which has applications in security printing. Like all of the new HP Indigo GCP digital printers, is compatible with the HP PrintOSx cloud platform for enhanced automation – identified by HP as being as important as productivity.
HP Indigo 15K
The next stage in the evolution of the HP Indigo 10000, the new features of this digital press can be added as optional upgrades to existing HP Indigo 12000 presses, enabling more operators and convertors to benefit from enhanced versatility in terms of compatible substrates.
The HP Indigo 15K leverages the power of automation and workflow optimisation, meaning that more orders can be completed in the same length of time. Increased speed goes hand-in-hand with exceptional quality; this is not the place for compromising.
Efficiency-boosting features include the high-capacity stacker for reduced manpower requirements and single-pass duplex printing. The EPM Preflight technology enables a 33% increase in throughput with three-colour printing.
HP Indigo 100K (HP Indigo Series 5)
The HP Indigo 100K digital press is the embodiment of productivity, with impressive performance statistics including the capacity to print over one million B2 duplex sheets per month at a maximum speed of 6 000 sheets per hour.
Even at these speeds, LEP technology ensures offset quality look and feel, while predictive services monitor the condition of key components and flag issues before they become problems, thereby minimising downtime.
As well as cost-efficient, nonstop printing for volume jobs, the HP Indigo 100K also delivers higher margins on short runs making this an all-round competitive printing machine. HP Indigo 90K The range of new digital printing presses is rounded out by the web-fed HP Indigo 90K, again optimised for continuous printing. This digital press is designed to produce larger-format collateral including banners and wallpaper, as well as folding cartons.
In common with the rest of the range, the innovative features of the HP Indigo 90K can be incorporated into existing HP Indigo digital presses thanks to the roll-out of value packs with upgrade options.
