The Petratto Eclipse is a laser die-cutting and die-creasing machine that represents an evolution in innovative packaging. Combining laser cutting
with a mechanical die-creasing system, it opens up new horizons in graphic arts, including digital packaging and artistic and luxury packaging. The machine is suitable for both digital and offset post-press applications.
The Eclipse system makes creases first along the longer side of the sheet and then on the shorter side, with perfect quality creasing both along the material grain and against it, on any kind of material.
Each creasing line can be adjusted and modified during working phases. The reticular parallel creasing does not deform the sheet: knowing the paper shrinkage value for each creasing line allows the perfect page setting and overlapping of the creasing lines and cuts.
There’s no need to prepare wooden, iron or plastic plates or frames. There is no waiting time or downtime for the preparation of plates and frames, and no inactive periods when changing over from one job to another.
The Eclipse opens up new horizons in graphic arts, including digital packaging and artistic and luxury packaging. It is suitable for paper, cardboard and laminated material. Cutting thicknesses from a minimum of 0.10 mm to a maximum of 0.80 mm, it can operate at speeds between 500 to 2000 sheets per hour.
