The HP Indigo 7eco digital press is the entry point to the world of Indigo quality, versatility and robustness. Built on the proven platform of Indigo 7K engine base, the Indigo 7eco is a trustworthy solution that offers uncompromising print quality at a competitive price. Built to handle volumes of up to 5 million pages a month, day-in and day-out, the 7eco allows printers to stand out by expanding their capabilities with a wide range of speciality inks and unique design tools. Eco-friendly, it boasts full imaging oil recycling and is ‘CO2 Neutral’ certified.

  1. Uncompromising print quality

The HP Indigo 7eco delivers a true offset look and feel – the thin ink layer accurately replicates media’s gloss and texture, keeping each media’s special characteristics. Print quality is not media-dependent as the ink is dried and the image is defined on the blanket, not the media. The process does not affect the media, unlike other digital technologies where ink absorption (wetness) and drying (heat) can affect media properties.

  2. Automated colour control & printing speeds

The inline Spectrophotometer reads colour patches and creates a ‘media fingerprint’ for the specific substrate. The Production Pro DFE automatically generates a dedicated ICC profile to ensure perfect colour accuracy against industry standards, while a 3-dimensional LUT for press calibration ensures perfect colour consistency. Print speeds are 120 four colour A4 PPM, 160 A4 PPM using EPM (see below) and 240 2 colour mono A4 PPM.

  3. Built to run and run

The robust Indigo 7eco is built to run for years and millions of high-quality impressions. More than 150 presses and counting have crossed the 200 million impression mark, while a Brazilian printer has already passed the 320 million impression mark, at an average of 4 million impressions per month.

  4. Enhanced Productivity Mode

Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM) omits black ink and prints only with cyan, magenta and yellow. This improves highlights and supports even black text. EPM’s new pre-flight tool automatically analyses every job and diverts each to a relevant hot folder, and is now embedded with PrintOS Production Pro.

  5. Widest range of speciality inks

The Indigo 7eco allows printers to benefit from an extended colour gamut (up to 97%) of Spot ElectroInks, Special Effect ElectroInks (silver, fluorescent pink, orange, yellow & green, transparent and digital matte) and Advanced Functionality ElectroInks (Invisible Yellow, Invisible Red, Premium White, Primer and Easy Release (Scractch Off).
