The CORE-S4 comes with 4G and Wi-Fi and is powered by the KaiOS operating system for keypad feature phones. With the KaiOS app store, most of the popular apps are pre-installed on the phone with more than 800 available to download. This means, for instance, that Facebook and WhatsApp can be accessed as soon as the user starts the phone.
This compact, robust smartphone has passed 15 MIL STD-801H US military standard tests with flying colours. These include the drop test from 2 metres onto concrete as well as stringent temperature tests. The CORE-S4 can withstand temperatures ranging from -32 degrees Celsius to +71 degrees Celsius, so it’s ideal for any tough environment from the steel industry to cold storage.
Furthermore, in compliance with standard IP68, the CORE-S4 also withstands immersion to a depth of 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. Designed for use in harsh conditions, this smartphone with its monoblock keyboard can be washed with soap, while its microperforated GORE membrane protects the microphone against water infiltration.
The CORE-S4 has a voice recognition button at the centre of its monoblock keyboard – just tap the button to use voice commands. Searching the Internet, texting, finding YouTube videos and more has never been easier. Users need only speak and their commands are followed. Calls can be made via 4G (VoLTE) or Wi-Fi (VoWIFI).
This mobile phone features a one-piece silicone backlit numeric keypad that prevents dust between the keys. For even more precision and to make texting easier, the keys are textured for better grip and enlarged for optimal navigation and use, even with gloves.
With optimal screen brightness of 500 cd/m2, the CORE-S4 can be easily read even in bright sunshine. The display is protected by damage resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The battery boasts 2300 mAh capacity, with 13h30 communication time and 13 days in low power mode.
