Overview
The Creality Ender-5 S1 is a 3D printer featuring an all-metal cube reinforced design (classic Cartesian structure) and a 220 x 220 x 280mm build volume, with an upgraded motion system. It features Creality’s CR-Touch auto bed-levelling and all-metal alloy Sprite extruder. The Ender-5 S1 boasts a maximum print speed of 250mm/s and 300 degree C printing temperatures, which allows 3D printers to tackle professional materials at record speeds.
Features
The Ender-5 S1 delivers high-speed printing due to its upgraded motion system and box-design. Two Y-Axis belts sync with high-precision stepper motors and steel transmission shaft to deliver increased torque. This ultimately boosts the printer’s acceleration ability (2000mm/s square) and translates to a maximum print speed of 250mm/s.
Creality’s all-metal Sprite drive is an elegant design that has proved itself to be an effective direct drive extruder. It features dual gears with a 1:3.5 gear ratio, delivering a powerful and uniform 80N extrusion force – excellent for printing with flexible filaments like TPU. Along with the dual drive gears, the pancake stepper motor provides consistent filament feeding.
The Ender-5 S1’s hotend assembly is integrated into the Sprite Extruder itself. A robust 5015 blower fan is attached to the design at the back of the print head, with a dual-sided fan shroud focused on the extruded filament. The result is two-dimensional cooling which enables printing at higher speeds.
The Ender-5 S1 has an upgraded CR Touch automatic bed-levelling with a metallic sensor pin and optical sensor technology. The printer will automatically level using 16 points on the bed surface and compensate for any differing height points while printing.
The titanium alloy heatbreak produces low thermal conductivity for blocking heat creep and is corrugated with 2.5 times surface area that is rapidly air-cooled by a silent axial flow fan. The large melting chamber (50mm cubed) is surrounded by a large 4000mm cubed heater block. It fully melts the filament for smooth feeding.
Removable flexible print surfaces are in great demand for 3D printer users due to the convenience of simply popping the prints off the build surface. The Ender 5-S1 printer comes with this handy design feature, so that users can easily remove the PC spring steel sheet and flex it to peel the print free.
