The innovative 4-lens stereo vision means that the Otter is proficient in handling both small and large scans, with 2 sets of dual lenses, catering to details in various sizes. A set of long-focal dual lenses for scanning small objects provides richer detail, while a set of short-focal dual lenses can scan larger objects.
Versatile enough to scan objects ranging from 10mm to 2000mm in size the CR-Scan Otter can capture everything from tiny coins to large vehicles. Scanning distances range from 110mm to 1200mm, effectively capturing items of diverse sizes with ultra-high precision and rich detail. The Otter can faithfully reproduce authentic texture and contours due to a cutting-edge structure-light stereo-matching algorithm and optical design. Not visible to the human eye, its near-infrared light ensures safe scanning, even for human bodies, taking only 2 minutes for a full-body scan. It also features a full metal structure with excellent heat dissipation and a fanless design for quiet operation.
The CR-Scan Otter is able to effectively scan black and metal objects – no need for spraying. Effortlessly scan cars, car parts, tyres, and more, with the desired model effect. The four-lens stereo vision technology ensures naturally stabilized scanning, reducing the likelihood of tracking loss for a smooth scanning experience.
Superb performance even in sunlight (<30000 lux) is realised with the advanced DOE 3D structure-light technology built into the CR-Scan Otter. Cross-platform operation on Windows and macOS is fully supported, while future updates will enable wireless scanning with Android and iOS devices.
A seamless, intuitive scanning experience is guaranteed by CrealityScan software, with step-by-step tutorials, one-click model processing, and model editing features. The Otter also features touch buttons and audible feedback, allowing for real-time exposure adjustment and simple operation. High accuracy marker scanning, even on objects with fewer scanning features, is also supported.
