Due to changes in the food environment and alternative choices, Japan’s chewing gum market was in terminal decline. Lotte Co, maker of the top-selling Xylitol brand, decided to reach out to the individualist millennial market in a unique way: for the brand’s 20th anniversary, they set out to release 2 million one-of-a-kind wrappers for a limited time. Their tools of choice were the HP Indigo 20000 and HP SmartStream Mosaic software, which, in conjunction, were able to produce 2 million totally unique, limited edition wrappers from just 20 basic designs!
