Digital print on a growth curve

Digital print on a growth curve

It has been yet another action-packed year for Kemtek’s Digital Division nationwide. As the interest in digital printing grows, Kemtek has dedicated much of its resources in this specialised field towards education and training – offering a range of HP Indigo digital workshops for designers, brand owners and print service providers alike, as well as focused operator enrichment workshops for customer technical teams around the country.

It has also been an exciting year for announcements – the first coming in April at Ren-Flex, with the installation of Southern Africa’s first HP Indigo 20000 industrial digital press. Dedicated solely for manufacturing IML labels, this technology has opened a whole new revenue stream for Ren-Flex and provided a one-of-a-kind value-added service for its customers. In September, at Labelexpo Europe 2017, Pretoria printer, Minit Print, also took a giant stride forward, ordering HP’s award-winning WS6800 digital press. Traditionally a commercial printing specialist, the team at Minit Print has recognised the opportunity to expand into print for packaging and has chosen HP Indigo and Kemtek to partner with on this new business venture.

Post-Labelexpo, Kemtek has also finalised two exciting new purchase deals…more will be revealed in the New Year!

So what’s in store for 2018? Once again, Kemtek will be hosting a range of customer VIP events, kicking off on January 24 with a local Open House in Johannesburg and Cape Town, plus a VIP customer event in Israel. Rest assured, the business development team will be continuing to educate and inspire printers, brand owners and designers on the real benefits that digital print can provide. Check out the news and events section on the new Kemtek website for all upcoming event details.
