Bend it, shape it, fold it…

The clue is in the name: Xeikon ThermoflexX prepress equipment offers unprecedented degrees of flexibility when using flexographic or letterpress printing machines to create labels, packaging and folding cartons.

While digital printing is making inroads into this segment of the printing industry, Xeikon ThermoflexX enables flexo and letterpress printers to keep pace and achieve superb results. The innovative features of Xeikon’s prepress platemaking systems will give you the competitive edge you need to succeed.

Meet the ThermoflexX range

Xeikon ThermoflexX manufactures a range of five flexographic/letterpress imagers, ideally suited to applications such as tags, labels and folding cartons. The five imagers are differentiated primarily by the maximum plate size they can handle: either 20”, 30”, 48”, 60” or 80”. In metric terms, that means you have options ranging from 0.508m to 2.032m

ThermoflexX imagers are based on a modular, open design to give you even more operational flexibility. They’re plate agnostic, which means that they can expose a wide range of plate types.

Advantages of Using ThermoflexX

Openness is just one of the advantages you’ll enjoy with Xeikon ThermoflexX. In addition, you’ll experience superb image quality (5080 dpi with varying resolutions); quick and accurate handling thanks to the sliding vacuum functionality and intuitive user interface; and last but not least, enjoy the benefits of ThermoflexX’s renowned customer support offering. Let’s take a closer look at the benefits of integrating Xeikon ThermoflexX into your PSP business.

Open season for plates

We’ve already mentioned flexibility, but it bears repeating. Thermoflexx imagers can accept 1-bit TIFF files generated by any workflow, but that’s just the start of their ability to adapt to your business requirements.

As you might expect from such innovative devices, they are perfectly at ease when it comes to exposing today’s latest plates, including flexo, letterpress and dry offset plates, plus digital screens and ablative film.

The complete package

If you attended Propak Africa 2019, you’ll know that packaging and labelling are currently two of the most exciting segments of the entire printing industry. They remain the most direct way to engage with consumers, and are attracting some of the most imaginative designers and artists in the business.

Xeikon ThermoflexX imagers can handle all your narrow, mid or wide web applications, which makes them ideal for labels, flexible and corrugated packaging, and folding cartons.

A resolution that will last all year

Plate type, size and intended application are not the only variables with Xeikon ThermoflexX imagers. Each platemaking system offers a choice of up to five resolutions, from 2400 dpi all the way up to 50580 dpi. At this resolution, the quality of the print and the sharpness of the detail that can be achieved are unrivalled.

The top-of-the-range ThermoflexX 80 has a unique modular design which allows you to install an additional imaging head, making it one of the most productive and fastest flexo imagers currently on the market.

Looking to the future

At Kemtek, we believe that flexographic printing has a bright future thanks to the flexibility of modern prepress equipment and the use of digital platemaking systems such as those manufactured by Xeikon ThermoflexX.

Recent innovations have underlined the continuing importance of flexo and letterpress printing. With imagers from Xeikon ThermoflexX, you can offer a quality, cost-effective solution without losing sight of your own profitability and business sustainability.

Print and packaging customers increasingly expect flexibility and agility: these are two of the principles that guide the design of every Xeikon ThermoflexX platemaking system. By making your plates with ThermoflexX, you can exceed your customer’s expectations and enable them to surprise and delight consumers with labelling and packaging that really stands out for the quality of its printing and the innovative nature of its design.
